Es muy probable que José Sulaimán, presidente del Consejo Mundial de Boxeo, coloque el tercer cinturón verde y oro en mismo número de divisiones al tercer mexicano que está por conseguirlo en la historia de este deporte.
En efecto, Humberto Soto Ochoa alcanzaría lo inimaginable para él, cuando se convirtió en boxeador profesional hace casi trece años.
“Humberto es el púgil menos valuado o subvaluado que tenemos en México. Es un gran peleador que tiene muy poca publicidad, porque tiene todo, boxea, pega y aguanta”, expresó Sulaimán, quien llegó este jueves a suelo texano procedente de Tailandia.
-¿Cómo espera esta contienda?
“Es una pelea muy importante para Humberto, una gran oportunidad para enseñarle al mundo lo que vale. Yo creo que vale mucho porque David Díaz es un muchacho muy valiente, ambos lo son. El ganador será el campeón mundial absoluto del peso Ligero.
Sulaimán agregó que “Humberto es un muchacho muy callado, pero dedicado y valiente que ha sabido salir adelante por sus propios puños”.
El primer mexicano en conquistar 3 cintos del CMB fue Julio César Chávez (Superpluma, Ligero y Superligero), el segundo Erik Morales (Supergallo, Pluma y Superpluma), y muchos esperan que Humberto Soto (Pluma y Superpluma) sea el tercero en lograrlo.
