While Fernando Montiel and Nonito Donaire battle for the world bantamweight championship to the north, Canelo Promotions presents presents a clash for the NABF bantamweight belt with Tomoki “Mexicanito” Kameda (17-0, 12 KOs) and German Meraz (29-17-1, 12 KOs) colliding in Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, Mexico. Kameda weighed in at 117.7 lbs and Meraz tipped the beam at 118.
