The joy invades Arely Muciño boxer, current IBF female flyweight sovereign, that next Friday will be handed the governor of Nuevo Leon, Rodrigo Medina, a medal, along with 11 other prominent “neoleoneses” also to celebrate that day who turns 22.
As it has done since 1986, the Government of Nuevo Leon recognizes those citizens for their courage, dedication and creativity have helped to enlarge the state through the performance of its activities with the Civic Merit medal Medal of Nuevo Leon “which is given to people of Mexican nationality and preferably neoleoneses that in the performance of their public activities, social or professional performing acts of obvious significance and importance for the benefit of the community in the areas of Economic Development, Education, Culture and Sport, Activity and Social Service.
The proposals for candidates to receive the award are made by the community during the three months it takes the call.
Note that since the institution delivering the award for Nuevo Leon, to date 405 citizens have been honored, of which 303 are men and 102 women.
The “Machine Gun” Muciño, who on 22 January this year beat by a tecnical knockout in four rounds at the U.S. Chantel Cordova and thus became the first world champion fly International Boxing Federation (IBF), becoming the first Monterrey to achieve that distinction since Clemente Sanchez was the last universal monarch regions in 1972 (WBC featherweight).
