Sugar Ray Leonard nació en Wilmington, Carolina del Norte y con el tiempo se convirtió en uno de los grandes del boxeo de todos los tiempos. Ganó medalla de oro en Juegos Olímpicos y fue campeón mundial en los pesos welter, superwelter, medio, supermedio y semicompleto.

IBARRA LOOK IN 2011 FOR WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP

Super flyweight WBC silver world champion  the capital Oscar “Ceviche” Ibarra, even with the face marked by traces of the battle in Puebla on Saturday were faced  the filipino Juanito Rubillar, who represented a tough obstacle in way to the championship, but who finally bowed in 7 rounds.
Ibarra (27-4-0 18 KO’s) who at times was referred to as emerging to challenge the scepter of the 115 Lbs. to another Mexican Cristian Mijares, knows this year will be their turn to play the desired universal scepter to whoever is the winner among the Veracruz world champion Tomas “Gusano” Rojas 36-12-1  25Ko’s) and new mandatory challenger  Sylvester Lopez (16-3-1  12ko’s).

Ibarra aware of the responsibility to wear a belt from the WBC is grateful to the directors for the opportunity to contend for the most prestigious world champion belt in boxing.
