….. the first fight to register over a million dollars of ticket office takings in the history opf professional boxing, was held between the great idol of the United States, Jack Dempsey and the French fans` favorite, Georges Carpentier, and that such bout was staged at the “30 acres of Boyle”, plot of land where the promoter built a wooden arena, and that everything took place in the afternoon on July 2nd, 1920, with an outcome in favor of Dempsey who won by knockout in four rounds ??.
