PRESS RELEASE
WBC LIFE INSURANCE
OBTAINS $ 25,000 USD
FOR THE RELATIVES
OF MARCO NAZARETH
The World Boxing Council has already obtained the approval of the insurance company to pay the WBC life insurance (approximately
$ 325,000 pesos), amount that will be given to the family of Marco Nazareth.
The WBC has a life and hospitalization insurance for $ 200,000 USD for all its world title fights (covering champion and challenger) also covering all the boxers who take part in such a card.
Despite the fact that the bout between Omar Chavez and Marco Nazareth did not correspond to the WBC sanctioning, it was part of the card in which Tomas “The Worm” Rojas won the WBC Superflyweight interim world championship by defeating Everardo Morales, and consequently Marco Nazareth and all the fighters who took part in the card were entitled to such life insurance.
The previously mentioned amount will be given in about 3 weeks, once the required documents are submitted; such documents will be provided by promoter Fernando Beltran.
The WBC, under the deep sorrow circumstances, feels very proud of the fact that through its rules and policies, we are able to at least financially aid the family of the late boxer.

REST IN PEACE
