POSITIVE MEETING BETWEEN
CONADE AND WBC LEADERS
World Boxing Council President, Jose Sulaiman, visited CONADE General Director, Bernardo de la Garza, in his offices this morning, and a very positive meeting took place, for the beginning of a female and male massive national boxing tournament in all the municipalities and states of the Republic. Ring Telmex, which is led by Arturo Elias Ayub, has been a very important part of this sort of tournaments up to now.
The WBC will present a plan for the carrying out of this national program, in which it is expected that the municipal and state authorities of the Republic register as collaborators to turn it into a tournament of the highest level that can be shaped in amateur boxing, respected and supported by the Mexican Federation of Amateur Boxing, which is led by Ricardo Contreras, and of course by the President of the Mexican Federation of Boxing Commissions, Jose Manzur, expecting from them their liking and participation.
WBC President was very thankful due to the hospitality and humbleness of the Director of CONADE, as much as he was surprised by how well informed he is about Mexican boxing, up to the point that he is perceived as a boxing fan, and he also expressed his strong desire to pay special attention to female boxing in order to try to collaborate with the Mexican Federation of Amateur Boxing, aiming to win Olympic medals.
Among the plans, there is also one regarding the fact of looking for trainers of the highest competence and experience level, as well as getting close to the Mexican former world champions who want to participate in the project.
