World Boxing Council President, Jose Sulaiman, has been informed of the internment of world champion Edwin Valero in a rehab center against addictions.
Our leader, far from taking an action against this fighter, remarked that the WBC ratifies Edwin Valero as Lightweight world champion in recess and sincerely stimulates him to undergo his rehab with the aim to become “an example for the young people of the world of the determination and courage of a winner and great champion as he has been”.
Doctor Jose Sulaiman, on behalf of the WBC, is also offering whatever is necessary to support Valero in his therapy, as well as is announcing he will be paying attention to the case of Valero.
“Boxing, Sulaiman continued, must not only be as a sport, a worry of international organizations, but we should also assist supportively those who need support as the intense struggle in favor of physical safety and well being of our boxers”, concluded Jose Sulaiman Chagnon.
