The President of the WBC, José Sulaimàn, announced today that due to the problems by Edwin Valero to get a visa for the USA, the WBC Board of Governors has approved a fight for the WBC Interim championship of the lightweight division between # 1 Tony de Marco, from Mexico, and the #2 José Alfaro, from Nicaragua.
         The World boxing Council is basing its decision on its rule 1.27  which states that the organization has the authority to approve an interim championship in medical or legal cases that keep a champion from defending his title for more than 6 months, which is the case of the WBC great champion Edwin Valero, from Venezuela.
        This matter will be confirmed at the WBC’s 47th annual convention to be held in the paradisiacal island of JEJU, in Korea, from November 1st to the 7th. Coming, and to which
