THE IDEA OF A WORLD TOURNAMENT FOR ROOKIES WAS APPROVED

WBC President´s idea of shaping a world tournament for rookies was set out and enthusiastically approved, looking to find future boxing stars, and among other things it was agreed to come up with a name for this competition in no less than two days.
It was approved to start studying what will be a kind of world cup. At the beginning it was talked about to name it “Golden Gloves”, but that is name that has already been copyrighted and it was decided to not to use it for the goals that we want to reach.
It was informed that former world champion of Panama, great Roberto “Hands of Stone” Duran was appointed and accepted to be the coordinator for this tournament in Panama and other countries close to his.
