Once the arbiter of her fight with Chris Namus declared a technical knockout, and raised her arm as the winner, the Colombian Lely Luz Florez began to shout: “Colombia is respected!, Colombia is respected.”

In her words, and her face was obvious that she had rabies because since she came to Uruguay to fight,  everyone who saw and recognized her would not stop saying: “Chris is the winner, Chris is the champion.”

That, somehow, hurt her pride. Nobody gave a peny for her. No one interviewed, no one wanted. All the publicity of the fight revolved around Namus, called the “Blossom Murderer”.

So she enjoyed seeing her rival pretty desperate trying to get up and the surprise of those attending at the Palacio Peñarol Montevideo, when she knew she was winning.
