Hozumi Hasegawa, World Bantamweight Champion  (WBC) spoke about  his bout against Mexico’s Fernando “Cochulito” Montiel, this Friday at the Budokan Stadium, and through coaching Ken Nishide  and Sendai Tanaka said:

“What  Montiel says,  that I called him campeoncito, it’s true, but I must clarify that this has been a joke in Japan. He got even wearing a shirt that said I was only champion my house. In fact, we Japanese fighters have always been respectful of our rivals, I never meant to offend. Indeed, I know it’s a great champion, a great fighter and will go to a very tough race. ”

On his victories over the Mexicans Alex Valdez, Genaro Garcia and Gerardo Martinez said: “Mexicans are good, brave, but if they have beaten is because so far I have been more intelligent, and well I look  forward to Montiel.”

The oriental fighter added: “I am ready for Friday. Mexicans are warriors, Montiel will shock and I’m not going to shy away, so everything can end suddenly, by a knockout.”
