Last weekend HG Boxing fighters grabbed the Mexican open television (Televisa and TV Azteca).
In Tepic, Nayarit, presented two world championship fights with Juan Jose “Goofy” Montes and Jesus “Zurdo” Jimenez, while in San Juan del Rio, Queretaro, Omar “Mata Gigantes” Niño played a world title.
Shares in the capital of Nayarit were very explosive when “Goofy” technically knocked out in four rounds the asiatic Richard García, who shot down three times, thus retaining the WBC super flyweight weight Youth Championship.
In contrast, “Jimenez” was knocked out by surprise by Edren Dapudong, who knocked him down twice in the first assault to take over the WBC World Silver Flyweight Championship.
For its part, the experienced Omar “Mata Gigantes” Niño regained the light flyweight WBC World Championship to win a unanimous decision over Filipino Rodel Mayol, who again resorted to cunning tricks to try to preserve the green belt and gold, but this time not worked.
Hector Garcia, HG Boxing director, yesterday gave a dinner to his new world champion Omar Nino, attended by friends, relatives and people who are part of the success of the boxer’s promoter and the city of Guadalajara México.
