In a spectacular battle Saul Alvarez once again proved to be the great Mexican idol.

The Argentine Luciano Cuello was beaten for most of the fight but still showed great courage.

For the sixth round Luciano Cuello went with the nose broken and the referee stop the fight to avoid further punishment. 
With the win, Alvarez claimed the vacant WBC Silver super welterweight belt. Among those on hand were “The Golden Boy” Oscar de la Hoya.
