Bantamweight world champion Fernando Montiel (43-2-2, 33 KOs) scored an explosive third round KO over former interim super flyweight titlist Rafael Concepcion (14-5-2, 8 KOs) on Saturday night at the Palenque de la Feria in Tuxtla Gutierrez, Chiapas, Mexico. Montiel dropped Concepcion twice in round two, then put him down for the count in round three. Time was 1:07.
