Mexican Edgar Sosa, emeritus champion of the World Boxing Council, won by TKO in round number four the Venezuelan Jose Luis Varela in a match held today in Mexico city.
Sosa, who is campaigning to challenge the WBC flyweight title, knocked down Varela in the third assault with a left hook to the jaw, although the Venezuelan recovered after hearing the account of protection.
In the fourth assault, Sosa hit Varela´s face and body with combinations of repeated blows to not being answered by the Venezuelan fighter, to led the referee Jose Guadalupe Garcia stop the fight and declare a TKO at 1:33 minutes.
The Mexican fighter now has 37 wins, 23 ko, with only six defeats, Varela from Venezuela now has a record of eight losses with 15 victories, including seven in the fast lane.
