Magic stars at Huamantla, Mexico

This afternoon at a popular hotel in Mexico City, Boxeo de Gala promotions, through its director, Dr. Fausto Daniel Garcia, gave details of the next big boxing feature called “Magia de Estrellas en Huamantla”.

The next August 27 In the bullring of Huamantla, State of Tlaxcala, Mexico, Mariana “La Barbie” Juarez, will be defending for the second time, her flyweight crown against the former OPBF champion and ranked number four, Asami Shikasho from Japan, who comes with the sole purpose of being a WBC world champion.

Also, Esmeralda “La Joya” Moreno, will be defending for the second time, her WBC silver light flyweight title, which won by beating Jessica Chavez and successfully defended in San Luis Potosi last July, against the Panamanian Abigail Villar, who is determined to take the title back to Panama.

“I’m preparing very hard, because the Japanese are suicidal fighters in the ring, they always come to win, for that reason I will reach 200 percent of my capacity, give a great performance and retain my championship” said Mariana.

Esmeralda, meanwhile, said “I am giving a rematch to Villar, we fought when I was a Youth champion and I won by knockout in six rounds. It was a tough fight, and this time will not be the same as she has matured as I did. So I am sure that this fight will be very emotional and I’m going out with everything in search of victory”.

Also, Zulina “La Loba” Muñoz, will be defending for the first time her WBC bantamweight silver world title against Yanina Natalia Acuña from Argentina.

In addition to the world titles, at a special event to 10 rounds, the number 2 ranked WBC bantamweight, Cristian “El Italiano” Esquivel.

Also,  Marco “Kua Kua” Lopez  against a rival TBD and Antonio “La Maquina” Sanchez from Gomez Palacio, Durango will be participating this coming August 27.

 Huamantla, which in Nahuatl language means “place of trees”, is a colonial city founded in 1534, located approximately 40 kilometers from the capital of the state of Tlaxcala, and excelled in history, due to its strategic location between Veracruz and Mexico.
