Ana Maria “La Guerrera” Torres want to make history, by seeking to defend for the tenth time, her super flyweight WBC world title against Marisa “La Piba” Portillo from Argentina.
Her charisma and strong convening power, have made of Ana Maria a great figure of the boxing sport, a situation that has caused that several places like Los Cabos, Baja California, Mexico, disputed the right to present her, where the next October 8th “La Guerrera” will defend her crown.
The boxing card, which has been called: “Su Majestad La Guerrera” (Her Majesty The Warrior), and that will be presented by Hector Garcia, head of HG Boxing promotions, was originally to be held in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico, however, was moved to one of the most beautiful tourist destinations of Mexico.
Ana Maria Torres will defend her crown, after the victory she achieved by defeating Jackie Nava on July 30 in Tuxtla Gutierrez, Chiapas, Mexico, where she became the first WBC female diamond champion, a distinction which had just obtained boxers like Manny Pacquiao, Bernard Hopkins and Sergio “Maravilla” Martinez.
