SUMALPONG EYES BIG WIN IN ELORDE’S SHOW TOMORROW

Undefeated Elorde boy Rolly Sumalpong eyes to steal the show when he makes his eight starts against a much more veteran opponent tomorrow at the Flash Grand Ballroom of the Elorde Sports Complex in Paranaque City, Metro Manila, Philippines.
Sumalpong (6-0-1, 3 KOs), a native of San Miguel in Surigao del Sur, takes on former Oriental and Pacific Boxing Federation (OPBF) minimumweight champion Michael Landero (16-12-4, 5 KOs).
The bout will be Sumalpong’s first scheduled 10-round fight.
Promoter Gabriel “Bebot” Elorde presents three international championship bouts dubbed “Bakbakan sa Elorde in his year-ender fight show.
World Boxing Council International Bantamweight champion Rex Wao will make his first title defense against former WBC silver superflyweight champion Silvestre Lopez in the main event.
In the supporting mainer, Dennis Tubieron, former WBC International bantamweight champion under the Elorde stable, battles Carlo Magali of the Brico Santig Stable for the vacant WBC International Featherweight championship.
Official weigh in will begin around 10am at the office of the Games and Amusements Board in Makati City today.
