Newly crowned WBA Oceania super featherweight champion Jack “The Assassin” Asis and PABA super lightweight titlist Czar Amonsot next fight will be in March in Australia.
Amonsot (27-3-3, 17 KOs) will see action on March 13 at The Melbourne Pavilion in Flemington, Victoria in the boxing show of Brian Amatruda of Big Time Boxing.
Asis (32-18-5, 17 KOs) makes a ring appearance at Rumours International in Toowoomba, Queensland on March 14 in the stellar show of Brendon Smith of Ringstar Pty Ltd.
Asis captured his current title in his last fight in October when he defeated Isaias Santos Sampaio with second round knockout.
The WBA put Asis their newest entrant in the world ratings as No. 15 contender of world super featherweight champ Takashi Uchiyama of Japan.
Amonsot defended his PABA title in June against Thong Por Chokchai of Thailand with fourth round knockout win to keep his lofty status.
Amonsot is much higher in his position than Asis. He is No. 9 ranked under WBA Super Lightweight bosses Danny Garcia and Jessie Vargas.
Both Filipino boxers are based in Australia. Amonsot, 29 and resident of Campbelltown in New South Wales, is a native of Philippines’ Tagbilaran City, Bohol while the Toowoomba, Queensland-based Asis hails from Davao City.
