WBC #7 CHITPATTANA STOPS INEXPERIENCE CHINESE CHALLENGER TO REMAIN WBC YOUTH CHAMP

Thai prospect Petch Sor Chitpattana defended his WBC Youth Silver bantamweight title over Chinese challenger Hou Tin Long on Friday at Chom Thong District Office in Bangkok, Thailand.

Chitpattana floored inexperienced opponent and the Thai referee found no reason to continue the carnage. The referee stopped the fight at 1:40 mark of the fourth round, making it as Chitpattana’s fifth defense of the belt.

The 21-year-old native of Roi-Et captured the vacant title belt in October 2013 at the Ayuthaya Night Bazzar in the town of Ayutthaya after beating debutante opponent Mokhtar Tarighatranah from Iran with fourth round TKO.

Chitpattana, a southpaw, improved his unblemished record to 29-0, 19 KOs. He will also expecting to move up from his current No. 7 position in WBC rankings.

Long took the title shot despite having one professional fight. His ledger now read 1-1 win-loss slate.

PALANGPOL DEFEATS MABAO

In the undercard, Palangpol CP Freshmart (7-1, 4 KOs) earned a unanimous decision win in 8-round flyweight clash against weak journeyman Donny Mabao (21-24-1, 4 KOs).

It was Mabao’s fourth loses in a row since 2014.

Unbeaten Light flyweight Kongfah CP Freshmart (10-0, 4 KOs) has kept his record unscathed following his third round stoppage win against Fahpikard Twins Gym (2-8, 5 KOs)

Welterweight Mohamadreza Hamze (4-5-1, 1 KO) knocked out Kwanpichit Twinsgym (0-2) in the fourth of their scheduled 6-round bout.
